Dear Valerie: Did you find anything good at In Cosmetics Paris this year? I always enjoy reading about what catches your eye!

Dear Parles:
Unfortunately, I missed my first In-Cosmetics in 10 years. I would like to thank one of my two boxer-husky mixes, Butch and Frank, who thought shredding my passport was a good idea.
I initially suspected Butch, but I think it was Frank. It’s been four months, and I still don’t have a replacement passport back from the US Dept. of State. It turns out they don’t like it when dogs do that!
However, I did get to hear about a couple of interesting ingredients, primarily for hair:

However, I did get to hear about a couple of interesting ingredients, primarily for hair:
- Seaplex by Assessa. It leaves hair healthy and shiny, even after bleaching. Do you know how hard it is to get blonde hair to shine?
- Gaïaline by Laboratoires Expanscience. It’s not often there is a new oil soluble active for skin and hair on the market. I love linseed oil, I can only imagine what it’s extracted components do.
- PinoPlex by Mibelle Biochemistry. Pinecones may be dry, but your split ends won’t be with this hair hydrator. Plus, I love a good upcycled story.
